Glam by Manicare Glam Ready Pre-Glued Cluster Lashes Luxe – Lizzie come in a box containing three sets. It says each cluster comprises 48 multi-length lashes with tapered tips and that they are lightweight to wear. No glue is required. The instructions state to place them under your lashes and press. Having never used false eyelashes before, I was reticent to try them. Being pre-glued, I assume that they can not be used multiple times, as the glue will lose its stickiness. Having to replace them continually could become expensive.

Skin Physics Anti-Ageing Intensive Hydration Serum targets wrinkles, fine lines and elasticity loss. After cleansing, a small amount is applied to the face, both morning and night, and allowed to absorb into the skin. It is great it does not contain fragrance, paraben, mineral oil, alcohol and silicone. Also, it is fantastic it is cruelty-free and made in Australia, although this important information is missing from the packaging. I am not sure about its vegan status, which is necessary for me to know.

The Manicare RapidDRY Hair Turban comes in a pretty peachy-pink colour, made from 80% polyester and 20% polyamide. It is easy to wear: just bend your head over and place the largest end of the turban on your head, twist the remainder, fold back over your head and secure with the button at the base of your neck. I place all my hair on top of my head, rather than the lengths in the thin part of the turban, as I found it too difficult that way. It is a great solution to keep annoying wet hair out of the way and does this perfectly, especially while applying make-up. At the same time it is gently drying hair, reducing blow-drying time and therefore hair heat damage.

The Lady Jayne GemTip Rainbow Brush is delightfully pretty with its multi-coloured pastel bristles. The bristles are fine, soft and flexible and is gentle to use. It is suitable for all hair types, either curly or straight, and provides pain-free hair detangling. Plus, the lightweight plastic makes it easy to hold. The website says it can also be used during washing, to distribute shampoo and conditioner. It is recommended to always start brushing from the hair ends and working up, to avoid pulling breakage.

The Color & Soin Mask for coloured hair is a hair conditioner that is left on for three minutes, before being rinsed off. It leaves the hair soft, detangled and manageable. Besides being dermatologically tested, I love that it is both cruelty free and vegan, although this is not mentioned on the packaging, only the website. It is an extra plus that 99.2% of ingredients are of natural origin, including 19.1% from organic farming. In addition, it has eco-friendly packaging, with the tube made from recycled materials.

Mavala Lip-Shine is a moisturising lipstick that glides on easily. The colour 308 Golden Gate is a stunning red colour. I love that Mavala “never test on animals - no exceptions, no matter where ... sold,” according to their website. This important information should also be included on the item, alongside where it states the product is vegan. There is a QR code inside the box for additional item information. Also, I love that Mavala is environment conscious. Maybe the lipstick could be sold without a cardboard box, to save paper.

French-made Avène DermAbsolu Reshaping Day Cream is a lightweight cream, with a beautiful fragrance. It evokes springtime, with its notes of bergamot, musk and jasmine, which is especially lovely during the cold winter. The glass jar has a removable pot, so the jar can be refilled, which is great for the environment. However, refills do not seem to be available to purchase in Australia, which is a shame. The jar is quite heavy, being glass, however I do not mind, as it is better than using plastic. Unlike other Avène products, the box does not say if it is vegan. Also, there is no mention of it being cruelty free, which is vital.

Avène DermAbsolu Intensive Reshaping Night Cream is a lightweight cream, made in France. It has a lovely fragrance, with notes of bergamot, musk and jasmine, smelling like spring. The box says it can also be used as a mask, by applying a thick layer for 10 minutes, then removing the excess. The pump jar is tricky to work out how to use at first, but is easy once known: just twist the lid and pump. Do not remove the lid! Only a small amount is dispensed, so quite a few pumps are needed per application. All the cream in the jar will probably not be able to be used, as the lid can not be removed to reach it. On the plus side, the cream will not become contaminated by fingers. The box says it is vegan, which is great. However, there is no mention of it being cruelty free, which is vital.
